Take control of your studies
Starting a higher education, be it University or college or some sort of vocational trade studies, can be a hard financial time for an average family. The price of tuition alone in an average college is enough to lead any family to financial bankruptcy in a heartbeat, not to mention the prices of housing and feeding the kid. And there are even a bunch of extra expenses, the likes of books that need to be bought, along with school material, that quickly add up and turn out to be big money drainers as well. And if you happen to have two kids or more in college at the same time, you just multiply the hardship.
There are, of course, ways you can get help to get through this. Colleges will offer scholarships and free accommodation to a few students, which may cover tuition, at least partially, but do not really solve all your problems.
It’s practically impossible to get through a University education without a couple of student loans. Sure you will be stuck with paying them for a while, but if you want a higher education that will get you a better paying job, you really need that extra cash.
